My mum Audrey loved clothes and took me with her to Libertys, the Kings Road & antique markets in the 1970's, always on the hunt for something special.
I started making clothes in the 1980's on an old Singer machine for myself & school friends, simple things like drop waisted dresses or gathered skirts. I would go to the fabric store on a saturday morning & make something in the afternoon, no pattern just cutting out and hope for the best!
Self taught I now work on a series of adaptable patterns that can be used for all seasons. Fabrics are mostly natural fibres, a mix of vintage, antique, deadstock and organic. I also reconfigure & update clothes that may be damaged or in need of a new life, saving them from waste.
